Blackburn Rovers assistant boss Eric Black has hailed the club's defenders following a string of impressive performances.
Black, who was named Steve Kean's number two this winter, has helped oversee the club's 1-1 draw against Everton on the road as well as their 3-2 win versus Queens Park Rangers last weekend.
"I've seen [Gael] Givet, [Scott] Dann and young Grant Hanley all play and I've been mightily impressed," he said.
"For defenders it is more difficult. They mature slightly later in their decision making and their positioning and other aspects, but that only comes through training and games and being put in those positions.
"Grant has shown a massive appetite, and Scott Dann's attitude is second to none. He's as good a professional as I've seen."
Blackburn travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on league leaders Manchester City this afternoon.
