Steve Kean has admitted that Blackburn Rovers are facing a race against time for Premier League survival.
Rovers fell 7-1 to Arsenal on Saturday, leaving them at 19th place in the league with just 18 points.
"The pressure is now on because the clock's ticking," Kean said. "We've not got many games left and we need to get to a position on points that's going to take us out of this zone we're in.
"There's a way to respond when you go behind - it's to feel angry, or feel embarrassed, or a combination of both.
"That then motivates you to have a personal standard that you don't go below and I think we have to question ourselves on that."
Blackburn host fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers next week.
