Martin O'Neill has been linked to the assistant manager position at Blackburn Rovers after John Jensen left the post yesterday (Thursday).
O'Neill's name is being touted within Ewood Park, despite boss Steve Kean wanting to bring in Fulham youth team coach Billy McKinlay, according to The Mirror.
The Rovers hierarchy have said, however, that there will be no appointment before Blackburn's clash with Manchester City tomorrow.
Former Celtic boss O'Neill has taken up a television pundit job since leaving Aston Villa in August 2010.
