Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship clash between Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.

Blackburn Rovers will be looking to pick up their second successive win when they host Lancashire rivals Bolton Wanderers at Ewood Park on Saturday.

Gary Bowyer's side got the better of Barnsley 5-2 at home last weekend to register their first victory of the Championship season.

Bolton, though, are still searching for their first full three points and will head into Saturday's game on the back of two straight defeats, having drawn their opening couple of matches.

However, Dougie Freedman's players could struggle as they have a whole host of injury concerns, David Wheater, Marc Tierney, Chris Eagles, Tim Ream and Craig Davies all facing a race against time. Joe Riley, Mark Davies and Stuart Holden are long-term absentees.

Meanwhile, Bowyer could hand winger Ben Marshall his Blackburn debut, while defenders Matt Kilgallon and Corry Evans could also start after recovering from their respective groin injuries.
