Blackburn Rovers can extend their lead at the top of the table to four points if they defeat Middlesbrough tomorrow evening.

Blackburn Rovers will hope to extend their lead at the top of the Championship table when they take on Middlesbrough on Friday evening.

Steve Kean's side currently sit one point above Blackpool in the number one spot in the table after six games, while Boro are determined to move up from 11th position following their 4-1 defeat to the Seasiders on Tuesday.

Kean is expected to keep a similar side that clinched a 2-1 victory over Barnsley. However, Nuno Gomes could start in place of Rubin Rochina.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough could line up with Marvin Emnes up front and Chelsea loanee Josh McEachran in midfield.

Recent form:

Blackburn: WLDDW
Middlesbrough: WWLWL

Possible lineups:

Blackburn: Robinson; Orr, Dann, Hanley, Martin Olsson; Formica, Murphy, Etuhu, Pedersen; Gomes, Rhodes

Middlesbrough: Steele; Hoyte, Friend, Woodgate, Amougou; Leadbitter, Thomson, McEachran, Carayol; Emnes, Miller

Sports Mole says: 1-0
