Two goals from debutant Yakubu helped Blackburn Rovers record a 4-3 victory over Arsenal at Ewood Park.
The visiting Gunners twice took the lead during the opening 45 minutes through Gervinho and Mikel Arteta, while Yakubu halved the deficit before the break.
An own goal from Alex Song drew Rovers level after 50 minutes and just nine minutes later Yakubu put his side in front for the first time in the match.
Another own goal, this time from Laurent Koscielny, extended Blackburn's lead further, before Arsenal substitute Marouane Chamakh set up a tense finish five minutes from time.
Per Mertesacker had a good chance to equalise in stoppage time, but his close range header went over Paul Robinson's crossbar.
The victory is Blackburn's first of the season and could ease the pressure on manager Steve Kean.
Next up for Arsenal in the Premier League is a home match against Bolton Wanderers, while Blackburn travel to Newcastle United.
Both matches will take place next Saturday.
