Blackburn Rovers have recorded a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town at Ewood Park thanks to Jordan Rhodes's 19th goal of the season.
The first half passed without much incident, with the crowd having to wait until the 18th minute for the first real effort at goal.
However, Markus Olsson's header from an acute angle did not trouble Stephen Henderson.
Aaron Mclean headed wide from close-range header, before Luke Hyam's shot whistled just wide as the Tractor Boys finished the half strongly.
The action was at a premium, and it took a scrappy goal to break the deadlock.
A scramble ensued from Danny Murphy's corner kick, and Rhodes pounced from close range to make it seven league games in a row in which he has scored.
The prolific striker could have added to his tally, but saw his header flash just wide of the post.
Guirane N'Daw volleyed just wide as the seconds ticked down, while Richard Stearman was also unable to find the target with a header.
