Blackburn Rovers midfielder John O'Sullivan will spend the remainder of the year at Rochdale after agreeing a loan switch to the League One side.
The 22-year-old, who penned a new one-year contract at Ewood Park earlier this week, will remain at Spotland until January 3.
Having progressed through Rovers' academy ranks, the Republic of Ireland Under-21s international has since spent time at Southport, Accrington Stanley and Barnsley.
O'Sullivan's latest development step takes him back to the third tier, where he will look to help Rochdale improve on their current 14-place position.
Blackburn have used the Irishman sparingly in the past, giving him two run-outs at the tail end of last season and three more so far this term.
