Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has revealed that Junior Hoilett could still sign a new deal with the club by the end of the season.
The 21-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the current campaign, has been linked with a move away from Ewood Park.
"We would like to think that the way that he's playing, he's been playing with a spring in his step and he's back to the form that he had before the transfer window opened, so we've not given up on that," Kean is quoted as saying in the Lancashire Telegraph.
"There's no reason why moving forward we can't agree something and get pen put to paper on the appropriate time.
"We've not given up and if it gets to the end of the season and we are where we think we're going to be, there's no reason why Junior can't agree a contract with us."
Hoilett signed his first professional deal with Rovers in 2007 after joining the club's academy.
