Blackpool goalkeeper Colin Doyle has revealed that he expects to be back in training next week following a dislocated shoulder.
The 30-year-old suffered the problem during the team's opening match of the season against Colchester United.
It was initially feared that Doyle would need surgery, but the summer signing is hoping to be fully fit sooner rather than later.
"I feared the worst when I did it, I had a scan on the Monday and thought I might need an operation," he told the club's official website.
"I saw a specialist on the Tuesday and he told me to rehab it and see how it is after three or four weeks. Hopefully next week I'll be back in training and it will all be well and good.
"An operation would have meant 12 weeks out, which is not what you want when you move to a new club and play one game."
Blackpool return to League One action on Saturday when they entertain Walsall.
