Preview: Blackpool vs. Burnley

Sports Mole peers ahead to the Lancashire derby on Good Friday as Burnley look to secure Championship promotion at Blackpool.

Victory for Burnley at Blackpool on Good Friday could result in them being promoted to the Premier League.

The Clarets go into the match at fellow Lancashire club Blackpool with an eight-point lead over third-placed Derby County and will achieve promotion if they win and Derby fail to beat Doncaster Rovers.

Sean Dyche has no reason to change the starting XI that were beaten by Middlesbrough on Saturday, with Junior Stanislas the most likely to come in if he does want to alter his XI.

Hosts Blackpool, meanwhile, go into the final four games just two points above the bottom three.

Caretaker manager Barry Ferguson selected himself in their last match against Leeds United and the veteran Scot could do so again for the visit of Burnley.

The home side has won the last five matches between these two sides, with Burnley edging it 2-1 in the reverse fixture in December.
