Sports Mole looks ahead to Hull City's visit to Blackpool in the Championship on New Year's Day.

Hull City can continue their recent run of form in the Championship on Tuesday as they travel to Bloomfield Road to face Blackpool.

No other team in the league has a better record in their last six matches thanks to 16 points from a possible 18 for Steve Bruce's side.

Two defeats and a draw in their previous three games have seen Blackpool slip down to 12th place in the standings.

Ahmed Elmohamady is a doubt for the visitors due to a calf strain, while the hosts have no new injury concerns ahead of the contest.

Recent form:

Blackpool: WDWLDL

Hull: WWWWDW

Possible lineups:

Blackpool: Gilks; Baptiste, Broadfoot, Cathcart, Crainey; Basham, Gomes, Taylor-Fletcher, Ince; Delfouneso, Thomas

Hull: Jakupovic; Rosenior, Chester, Faye, Hobbs; Brady, Evans, Meyler, Quinn; Koren, Aluko

Sports Mole says: 1-2
