Team News: Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka makes seven changes for Blackpool trip

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka makes seven changes for their trip to Blackpool.

Promotion-chasing Middlesbrough have made seven changes to their starting lineup for tonight's Championship game at Blackpool.

Dean Whitehead, Jonathan Woodgate, Daniel Ayala, Tomas Kalas, Adam Forshaw, Adam Reach and Kike all come into Aitor Karanka's side, as the manager looks to fully utilise his squad during a congested period of the season.

Ryan Fredericks, Ben Gibson, Kenneth Omeruo, George Friend, Grant Leadbitter, Lee Tomlin and Patrick Bamford all started in Saturday's home win over Charlton Athletic, but have been replaced tonight.

Blackpool manager Lee Clark has made just two changes to his side, after they lost 4-0 to Norwich City at the weekend.

Goalkeeper Joe Lewis has recovered from an illness to replace Eli Parish in goal, while striker Dom Telford replaces Mark Waddington.

Blackpool: Lewis, McMahon Clarke, O'Dea, Dunne, O'Hara, Perkins, Cameron, Orlandi, Telford, Davies.
Subs: Parish, Aldred, Maher, Waddington, Rothwell, Delfouneso, Madine.

Middlesbrough: Dimi, Whitehead, Woodgate, Ayala, Kalas, Adomah, Clayton, Forshaw, Reach, Kike, Vossen.
Subs: Mejias, Gibson, Leadbitter, Ledesma, Tomlin, Omeruo, Bamford.
