Boca Juniors are reportedly keen for Jose Mourinho to become their next head coach.
Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United on Tuesday, with the English giants making their worst ever start to a Premier League season.
According to TNT Sports, Mourinho recently phoned Nicolas Burdisso to congratulate him on his new role as director of football with the Argentine club, and that led to a discussion taking place.
The report claims that Burdisso, who played under Mourinho at Inter, asked the Portuguese whether he would be interested in managing Boca, but it is thought that the 55-year-old will take time out before deciding his future.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto left his role as head coach of Boca following their defeat to River Plate in the Copa Libertadores final earlier this month.
