Tuesday's League One predictions including Wrexham vs. Barnsley

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Wrexham vs. Barnsley.

Bolton vs. Mansfield (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams vying for a place in the League One playoffs are set to come together on Tuesday night when Bolton Wanderers host Mansfield Town at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The hosts are eighth in the table with 27 points from 16 outings, only outside the top six on goal difference, while the visitors are 10th with 24 points from 15 fixtures.

We say: Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Mansfield Town

Mansfield are on a poor run of form in the league, having lost three and drawn one of their last four, and with Bolton having avoided defeat in their last seven home games, we believe the hosts will win here.

Charlton vs. Crawley (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Crawley Town, aiming to distance themselves from the ongoing relegation battle, are set to travel to The Valley to face Charlton Athletic in League One on Tuesday evening.

The hosts are 12th in the league with 22 points from 16 games, while the visitors are in 20th place with 16 points from 17 games, leaving them just one point above the drop zone.

We say: Charlton Athletic 2-1 Crawley Town

The visitors may be coming into this game on their best run of form in the league this term, but the hosts have lost just one league match at home this season, and we believe their strong home record will continue with a win here.

Exeter vs. Wycombe (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Exeter City, aiming to rebound from back-to-back league defeats, are set to host League One leaders Wycombe Wanderers at St James Park on Tuesday night.

The hosts are 11th in the table with 23 points from their 16 outings, while the visitors sit in first place with an impressive 38 points from their first 16 games.

We say: Exeter City 0-3 Wycombe Wanderers

Exeter have failed to score in their last three League One fixtures and are coming into this one after back-to-back league losses, while Wycombe have won all of their last 11 and have scored a huge 36 times in 16 league games, leading us to believe the visitors will secure a big win here.

Leyton Orient vs. Bristol Rovers (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Relegation-threatened Leyton Orient are set to host Bristol Rovers at Gaughan Group Stadium on Tuesday in League One.

Leyton Orient are currently in 21st place with 15 points after 16 games, while Bristol Rovers are six points from the playoff spots, and occupy 14th place after picking up 21 points from their 17 matches so far.

We say: Leyton Orient 1-0 Bristol Rovers

Leyton Orient may be in the relegation zone, but they are just one point from Crawley and a win would take them to within three points of opponents Bristol Rovers with a superior goal difference.

The Gas have struggled at both ends of the pitch in recent matches and without their usual manager in charge may not be able to withstand Wellens's Os on Tuesday.

Struggling Rotherham United are set to host promotion hopefuls Lincoln City at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Tuesday in League One.

Rotherham are currently in 19th place with 17 points after 16 games, while Lincoln City are ninth with 26 points from their 17 matches so far.

We say: Rotherham United 0-2 Lincoln City

Neither side are in the best form at the moment, but it is much harder to see Rotherham scoring.

Lincoln should be expected to take all three points in this game as they search for some stability in the hunt for promotion from League One this season.

Stevenage vs. Northampton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Stevenage are set to host Northampton Town at Lamex Stadium on Tuesday in League One as both sides look to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Stevenage are currently 17th with 19 points after 16 games, while Northampton are 18th with 18 points from their 17 matches this season.

We say: Stevenage 0-1 Northampton Town

Both clubs have struggled for form this season, though Stevenage have a commendable defensive record and Northampton are facing a major injury crisis.

However, Jon Brady's team have managed to score 19 goals this term despite their circumstances, eight more than Revell's side, and this greater attacking threat could see them come out narrow winners on Tuesday.

Wrexham vs. Barnsley (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Wrexham will be aiming to make it three straight victories in League One when they welcome Barnsley to Wales on Tuesday night for what is shaping up to be an intriguing affair.

The home side are second in the League One table, four points behind the leaders Wycombe Wanderers, while Barnsley are sixth, picking up 27 points from their opening 17 matches of the campaign.

We say: Wrexham 2-1 Barnsley

This is shaping up to be a very interesting match, with Barnsley strong on their travels this term; Wrexham are such a powerful force in front of their own fans, though, and we are expecting Parkinson's side to navigate their way to all three points here.

Huddersfield vs. Wigan (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Two in-form teams will lock horns in League One on Tuesday evening, with Huddersfield Town welcoming Wigan Athletic to the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield are unbeaten in their last seven league fixtures and sit fifth in the League One table, while Wigan have won their last two in the third tier to move into 15th position, now on 20 points from 16 matches.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-0 Wigan Athletic

It would not be a surprise to see the points shared on Tuesday, while Wigan will also fancy their chances of claiming all three points, but Huddersfield are in excellent form at the moment, and we are backing the hosts to secure a narrow victory here.

Reading vs. Cambridge (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Reading will be aiming to stretch their unbeaten run of form in all competitions to six matches when they welcome Cambridge United to the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Royals are currently seventh in the League One table, level on points with sixth-placed Barnsley, while Cambridge sit 22nd, having only picked up 13 points from their opening 16 matches of the 2024-25 campaign.

We say: Reading 2-0 Cambridge United

Reading have been impressive at home this season, winning six of their seven league games in front of their own fans, while Cambridge have the second-worst away record in League One in 2024-25, and we are fully expecting the Royals to triumph here.
