Owen Coyle fears that Bolton Wanderers full-back Marcos Alonso has broken his foot again.

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle fears that full-back Marcos Alonso suffered another foot injury during last night's win over Blackburn Rovers.

The Spanish defender has only recently returned from a fractured metatarsal that he suffered in August.

However, the 20-year-old was forced to leave the field of play yesterday with his boot removed and Coyle has admitted that he is "concerned" by the problem.

"The disappointing thing was that Marcos picked up an injury," said Coyle.

"We have sent him for an X-ray because we are concerned he has fractured the same foot again. Hopefully not, but we will see."

Alonso joined Wanderers from Real Madrid in 2010.
