Zat Knight has expressed his sadness at his impending departure from Bolton Wanderers but said that it is the "right time" to leave.
The Trotters captain, 34, will leave the club this summer after five years at the Reebok Stadium.
"I'm sad to be leaving Bolton, but it's been a great five years here and a big learning curve for me," the defender told the club website.
"There have been a lot of ups and downs during my time here, but it now feels like the right time for me to make a fresh start elsewhere and have a new goal."
Bolton also announced that Tyrone Mears, Chris Eagles and Jay Lynch will be leaving the club.
