Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon "glad" to end losing run

Bolton boss Neil Lennon admits that he is "glad" to have seen his side end their three-game losing run with a 1-0 victory at home to Brighton.

Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has admitted his relief after seeing his side end their three-game losing run with a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Trotters earned an important victory in their fight for Championship survival on Saturday as they overcame the Seagulls at the Reebok Stadium.

Despite claiming that he was not that impressed by his team's performance, Lennon is pleased to have picked up three vital points.

"[Losing] is something I have not been used to so it's a test of character as a manager to see what you have got," he told BBC Sport. "So, I am glad we won. I wasn't overly enamoured with the performance but the result was the most important thing.

"You could tell we were edgy because of the run we have been on but second half we were a lot better and I thought we deserved to win the game."

Bolton are back in action on Tuesday when they host Reading in the Championship.
