Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has revealed that there have been no bids for midfielder Mark Davies, despite speculation about his future at the club.
Premier League clubs have been linked with the player relegated with Bolton last season, but Coyle has insisted that he has yet to receive a bid for the 24-year-old, and has hit out at the speculation in the papers.
"I'm an open book and I've always told you if there's been interest in my players," Coyle told BBC Radio Manchester.
"There have been no phone calls, no dialogue, nothing about Mark Davies.
"It's just the usual paper speculation and conjecture, and for anybody out there who thinks what happened to Bolton Wanderers and losing our place in the Premier League would mean any of our players will be leaving on a whim, they're sadly mistaken."
Davies made 43 appearances in all competitions for Bolton last season.
