Mario Gotze praises the Borussia Dortmund fans and says that his side are ready to take on any team in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze has said that he has "no preference" in playing any particular team in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Germany international also praised his club's fans for their support during their 3-0 home victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of the last-16 tie on Tuesday.

"It's always a great atmosphere here," he told UEFA.com. "It's unbelievable what the fans here do for us.

"The Champions League is a very special competition – and not just for us. The fans really got behind us even after we went 2-0 and 3-0 up. It was a great experience.

"Now we can look forward to the quarter-finals. Personally I have no preference as far as the draw goes. The teams are all very strong in terms of quality, so it doesn't really matter who you're up against."

Dortmund won the tie 5-2 on aggregate.
