Half-Time Report: Kevin De Bruyne free kick cancels out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opener

Kevin De Bruyne's free kick gets Wolfsburg back on level terms with Borussia Dortmund as the first half ends with the score 1-1 at Signal Iduna Park.

A Kevin De Bruyne free kick has ensured that Wolfsburg head into the break level at 1-1 with Borussia Dortmund.

Wolfsburg missed a great chance to break the deadlock when De Bruyne found space in the box to hit an effort straight at Mitchell Langerak, before dragging the rebound past the post.

It didn't take long for Dortmund to make the visitors pay for the miss as Ciro Immobile delivered a cross for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who slotted in from close range.

Despite falling behind, Wolfsburg continued to dominate possession to push the hosts further back.

Wolfsburg were rewarded for the pressure in the 29th minute when De Bruyne made up for his earlier error by curling in a free kick from the edge of the box.

Diego Benaglio prevented Dortmund from regaining the lead with a fine save to deny Immobile after the Italian had been picked out by Kevin Grosskreutz.
