Jurgen Klopp: 'I feared Marco Reus had broken his leg'

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp downplays an injury to Marco Reus after admitting that he feared the midfielder had broken his leg.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he feared Marco Reus had broken his leg during the DFB-Pokal victory over Dynamo Dresden.

The 25-year-old was forced off the pitch in the first half following a challenge from Dennis Erdmann, but Klopp is optimistic that one of his key men will be able to recover quickly from what he hopes is just bruising.

"If it is really just a bruise with Marco, this has been a good night," the Dortmund boss told reporters.

"I looked so angry because everybody looked at me like he had a broken leg. I am a simple person and if everybody looks at me like his leg is broken, I believe that.

"I hope next time they will inform me sooner when it is just a bruise."

Ciro Immobile scored both goals as Dortmund booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the competition with a 2-0 victory.
