Thomas Tuchel has said that he is "overjoyed" to be appointed manager of Borussia Dortmund.
The former Mainz 05 boss was announced as the man to take charge of the Bundesliga side following Jurgen Klopp's decision to step down in April.
Tuchel will officially begin work on July 1.
"I'm overjoyed to be officially presented as Dortmund coach. I wanted to coach a top, traditional Bundesliga club," BBC Sport quotes the 41-year-old as saying.
"Dortmund are at the forefront of the German game but we have some ground to make up on the other teams and that is a challenge.
"It's extremely important that we rise to the challenge making up that ground. It's about hard work, courage and tenacity."
Dortmund finished seventh in the Bundesliga in Klopp's final season in charge.
