Team News: Marcel Schmelzer back in for Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund left-back Marcel Schmelzer comes back into the lineup for the home game against Hoffenheim.

Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp has recalled left-back Marcel Schmelzer to his starting lineup for the penultimate Bundesliga game of the season at home to Hoffenheim.

Schmelzer comes in for Oliver Kirch in an otherwise unchanged lineup, with Kevin Grosskreutz being restored to midfield as Dortmund look for the three points that would secure second place.

Hoffenheim drew a rare blank last weekend, which has seen head coach Markus Gisdol respond by dropping Anthony Modeste with Kevin Volland moving from the attacking midfield trio into the lone striker role.

Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer; Jojic, Sahin; Mkhitaryan, Reus, Grosskreutz; Lewandowski

Hoffenheim: Grahl; Johnson, Abraham, Sule, Beck; Rudy, Polanski; Strobl, Firmino, Elyounoussi; Volland
