Borussia Dortmund have reportedly decided that they will hold talks with striker Erling Braut Haaland in an attempt to keep him for one more year next season.
The Norwegian international waved to the Dortmund fans last week after their 3-0 win against Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga, which some viewed as a wave goodbye suggesting a January exit is possible.
However, Haaland's agent Mino Raiola has also revealed that they have not ruled out another season with Borussia Dortmund and the club now want to speak with the 21-year-old goalscorer to clarify his future.
According to the Daily Mail, a meeting between Hans-Joachim Watzke, the club's CEO, and Raiola did not clear up Haaland's situation, so Dortmund are taking matters into their own hands and have arranged a meeting with Haaland at present.
The report suggests that the German giants are willing to increase Haaland's wages for next season to keep his services at Signal Iduna Park, taking his earning up to £11.9m for that 12-month period.
The youngster has scored an impressive 76 goals in 75 appearances for the club, since his move from Red Bull Salzburg in 2020.
