Sven Bender signs new Borussia Dortmund deal

Midfielder Sven Bender agrees a new contract with Borussia Dortmund that runs until the summer of 2021.

Borussia Dortmund have announced that Sven Bender has penned a new contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

The deal has tied the 26-year-old, who joined BVB from 1860 Munich seven years ago, to the Westfalenstadion until 2021.

Having committed his future to the club, Bender has urged his teammates to follow suit.

"We have brought some very good discussions to a conclusion. I am extremely happy to be wearing the black and yellow jersey into the future," he told the club's official website.

"I would be glad if some of my other teammates would therefore follow in the coming weeks."

The Germany international has made over 200 appearances for the Yellows.
