Team News: Eljero Elia, Clemens Fritz back for Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen bring Eljero Elia and Clemens Fritz back into their starting XI for today's trip to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre has decided to name an unchanged XI for this afternoon's match against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

Gladbach were beaten 4-2 at Bayer Leverkusen last weekend but stick with the same starting lineup despite that defeat, with Max Kruse playing just ahead of Raffael in attack.

Juan Arango and Patrick Herrmann will provide support from the flanks, while Filip Daems keeps his place ahead of Oscar Wendt at full-back.

Bremen have reshaped their defence to accommodate Clemens Fritz's return from injury, with Theodor Gebre Selassie switching to left-back and Luca Caldirola returning to central defence.

Eljero Elia comes in on the wing for the visitors, but Franco di Santo must wait for a full debut with Nils Petersen preferred to Marko Arnautovic in attack.

Gladbach: Ter Stegen, Daems, Dominguez, Stranzl, Jantschke, Xhaka, Kramer, Arango, Raffael, Herrmann, Kruse

Bremen: Mielitz, Fritz, Caldirola, Prödl, Gebreselassie, Kroos, Makiadi, Elia, Junuzovic, Hunt, Petersen
