Freiburg midfielder Max Kruse has reportedly agreed a deal to join Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season.
Kruse has scored seven goals from midfield in 26 league matches this season, helping Freiburg sustain an unlikely challenge for Europa League qualification.
Gladbach have been impressed and agreed to match his £2.13m release clause, according to Bild.
Kruse only joined Freiburg last summer but is thought to have agreed a four-year deal which will see him commit to Gladbach until 2017.
Gladbach are predicted to be busy in the transfer market this summer and have also declared an early interest in signing Fortuna Dusseldorf winger Robbie Kruse.
