Former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure is reportedly set to join Brazilian side Botafogo, with the ex Ivory Coast international keen on a move away from Qingdao Hainiu.
The 36-year-old has played for Qingdao Hainiu since July 2019, scoring two goals in 14 appearances.
According to reports in Brazil, Toure is now closing in on a move to Botafogo, who are currently 15th in the Brazilian Serie A.
The reports add that the midfielder is keen on the move and is coming to the end of his contract, with Toure said to admire Brazilian football.
The Ivorian has played for clubs including Monaco, Olympiacos, Beveren and Metalurh Donetsk, in addition to City and Barca during his career, making 614 appearances at club level.
Toure has also won 101 caps for his country and was a member of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad.
