Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has ruled out offering the manager's job at the League One club to Harry Redknapp.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is currently working for Bournemouth as an advisor but Mitchell has insisted that Redknapp is not in the running to become the club's next manager.
Mitchell told BBC South: "Harry's future is a lot higher, we are a League One club.
"Harry has had nothing to do with any decision I have made.
"I know Harry and I speak with him most days. If he felt he wanted the job, he would have phoned me."
Bournemouth sacked Paul Groves on Wednesday after the club slumped to 20th in the League One table.
