League One outfit Bournemouth have sacked boss Paul Groves.

Bournemouth currently sit 20th in the table with just eight points from 10 games and they have lost their last three matches in the league.

Chairman Eddie Mitchell has released the following statement: "On behalf of AFC Bournemouth, I would like to inform the supporters and media that as of this morning, Wednesday, October 3, we have parted company with Paul Groves as manager and Shaun Brooks as assistant manager."

The club face Coventry City at the weekend.
