Eddie Howe: 'No wholesale squad changes for Premier League'

Eddie Howe says that there will not be any wholesale changes to the Bournemouth squad as they prepare for their first season in the Premier League.

Eddie Howe has said that he will give the Bournemouth squad the chance to impress in the Premier League next season instead of making big-money signings.

Bournemouth won the Championship title on Saturday after defeating Charlton Athletic 3-0 and will play in the Premier League for the first time next season.

"You can see from my track record that the guys who have performed so well for us this season will get an opportunity to perform at the next level," Howe told Sky Sports News.

I don't believe in wholesale changes in the close season, I don't believe in not giving players a chance to show whether they are good enough.

"Ultimately they will have to take that opportunity but it was the same from League One to Championship - we stuck with the majority of the squad."

Bournemouth gained 16 points in the final six matches as they won promotion for the second time in three seasons.
