Bournemouth in stunning comeback win

Bournemouth recover from going 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes to beat Millwall 5-2 this afternoon.

Bournemouth have produced a stunning second-half comeback to beat Millwall 5-2 in the Championship.

The hosts had been behind early on but four goals in the second 45 minutes saw them snatch all three points. Two early goals had put Millwall ahead in the opening 10 minutes of the match.

Martyn Waghorn was released after good work from Liam Trotter and slotted underneath the goalkeeper.

Minutes later the same players combined. This time it was Trotter who ran clear and chipped the ball over the onrushing Stephen Henderson.

Bournemouth came back into the match after that as Lewis Grabban forced a good save from David Forde. Then, minutes before half time, Grabban found Ryan Fraser, who curled the ball into the corner from the edge of the box.

In the second half the Cherries really made their comeback. Steve Cook rose highest to head home Ian Harte's corner five minutes in, before Harry Arter put them ahead, reacting quickest to a loose ball and smashing past Forde.

Grabban then got himself on the scoresheet from the penalty spot, after a handball offence by Alan Dunne. The decision also meant that the Millwall defender received his second yellow card and was dismissed.

Bournemouth weren't done there, though. Another penalty in the last minute from Brett Pitman made it five after a thrilling second half for the home fans.
