Bournemouth are reportedly on the verge of signing goalkeeper Andrei Radu on a season-long loan deal from Inter Milan.

Bournemouth have reportedly reached an agreement with Inter Milan over a loan move for goalkeeper Andrei Radu.

The Cherries are preparing for their first season under new head coach Andoni Iraola, and they have already been busy in the transfer market, signing Justin Kluivert, Milos Kerkez and Hamed Traore on permanent deals.

They have also signed Romain Faivre from Lyon, before loaning him straight out to Lorient where he spent the second half of last season on loan.

Bournemouth have now turned their attention to their goalkeeping department, with Iraola looking to bring someone in who can provide competition to Neto.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries have agreed to sign Radu from Inter on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy set at €8m (£6.9m).

The Romania international is now expected to undergo a medical later today, before his loan move is officially confirmed.

Despite seeing Andre Onana and Samir Handanovic leave the club this summer, Inter have deemed Radu surplus to requirements.

Radu joined Inter as an academy player in 2013, but he has been unable to force his way into the senior side, having made just five appearances.

After spending the first half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Cremonese, Radu completed a temporary move to French side Auxerre in January.

The 26-year-old kept five clean sheets in 17 appearances for Auxerre, but he was unable to prevent the club from being relegated to Ligue 2.

With Radu set to arrive on the South coast, Bournemouth will sanction the temporary departure of Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers.

According to the Daily Echo, Travers is undergoing a medical at Stoke City ahead of a season-long loan move to the Championship side.

The 24-year-old, who is under contract until June 2027, has recorded 26 clean sheets in 70 competitive appearances for Bournemouth.
