Bournemouth goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel has revealed that he expects to sign a new deal with the Championship club.
The Liechtenstein international, 24, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Dorchester Town and Poole Town respectively after struggling to hold down a first-team spot at Dean Court.
Despite a lack of opportunities with the Cherries, Buchel is confident that he will remain at the club next term.
"It looks like everything will be okay for me to stay another year in Bournemouth, so I just need to sign the contract when I'm back in England, but it's a formality," he told the Bournemouth Echo.
"The last two years have been good for me as I have come to a new country and learned about football. Injuries stopped me a little bit but now I think I'm ready for a whole year of improving."
Buchel has won six caps for Liechtenstein since making his debut in 2008.
