Everton reportedly cool their interest in Bournemouth striker Joshua King due to his mammoth wage demands of £120k per week at Goodison Park.

Everton have reportedly cooled their interest in Bournemouth attacker Joshua King due to his wage demands.

The 29-year-old remained at the Vitality Stadium over the summer despite Bournemouth's relegation from the Premier League, but he has only made 10 Championship appearances during an injury-hit 2020-21 campaign and is yet to score in the league.

However, King's current deal with Cherries will expire in June, and he is free to negotiate with other clubs should he seek an exit in the near future.

Everton were thought to have been in talks over a deal for the Norway international, but according to The Sun, King's £120k-a-week wage demands have proven to be a stumbling block.

King is also thought to be attracting interest from West Ham United as they search for a new striker, with manager David Moyes confirming that "big offers" have already been unsuccessfully made to a number of clubs.

The former Manchester United youngster has scored 52 goals and set up 18 more since joining Bournemouth in 2015.
