Brazil coach believes that Neymar can become a better footballer than Lionel Messi.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes believes that 19-year-old Neymar can become a better player than Lionel Messi.

The striker has received a number of plaudits for his performances this year, resulting in a nomination for the 2011 Ballon d'Or award.

Menezes has accepted that the youngster has long way to go before he can be compared to Argentine Messi, but claims that he can surpass the levels set by the 24-year-old.

"Messi, Messi, Messi, that one is easy," the trainer responded when asked who was the better player.

"Neymar can reach Messi's level, even be better than Messi, but the way to judge football is by success and Messi has achieved more so far.

"He is a more mature player and that is why I believe he is better than Neymar."

The pair could meet when Santos and Barcelona compete in the Club World Cup next month.
