Reported Real Madrid and Barcelona target Neymar has spoken of his delight at signing a new contract with Brazilian club Santos.
The 19-year-old agreed a deal until 2014 as the club looks to end the speculation linking him with a move to the Spanish giants.
Neymar has revealed that his ambition is to become one of the best players in the world and he believes that he can achieve that feat playing in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
"I am delighted. It is one more decision that I have made in my life, together with my father and brother. I would like to thank the fans for the affection they have for me, I am overjoyed to be staying here until 2014," Neymar told reporters.
"My goal is not to be the best in the world, it is to play in the best competitions. Santos are doing just that.
"They fought for the Libertadores, they are going to play for the Club World Cup. Santos is a massive club, the best player in the world played here."
Neymar has scored 12 goals in 19 Brazilian Serie A games this season.
