Former World Cup winning Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has urged the rest of the squad to help ease the pressure on forward Neymar, as the player cannot single-handedly win the tournament.
Neymar has been strongly tipped to become the top scorer in the competition in his home country, but Parreira said that while star players can pull off moments of magic, they need a team around them in order to succeed.
"A [star player] can make a difference from one move to another, but it's the team that wins," Parreira told Reuters.
"Like Maradona, Romario, Pele and all the players who made stand-out World Cup performances, he'll win with a team behind him. Neymar is super-important but people shouldn't think that if Neymar gets hurt Brazil can't win the Cup."
Brazil take on Croatia in the World Cup opener on Thursday.
