1998 World Cup team of the tournament: How many of the All-Star side can you name?

To celebrate the anniversary of the iconic 1998 World Cup final, Sports Mole challenges you to name the 16-man selection for the 1998 World Cup All-Star team.

With France still licking their wounds following their semi-final exit to Spain at Euro 2024, fans of Les Bleus could be forgiven for yearnfully looking back at a time when their star-studded squad did get the job done.

Such an occasion occurred on this day 26 years ago, when a side led by current France boss Didier Deschamps led the nation to their greatest ever triumph on home turf.

The 1998 World Cup remains one of the most iconic in history, and the final itself was littered with drama, controversy and talking points - and that was before the match had even begun.

France went on to beat Brazil 3-0 to be crowned world champions for the first time ever, and to mark the anniversary of that memorable triumph, Sports Mole is challenging you to name the team of the tournament from the last World Cup of the 20th century.
