Wolverhampton Wanderers make three changes for Friday's FA Cup third round tie against Brentford.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made three changes for Friday's FA Cup third round tie at Brentford.

While Gary O'Neil suggested in a press conference that he would go as strong as possible, international call-ups, transfer developments and niggly injuries mean that he has tinkered with his starting lineup.

Hwang Hee-chan is away at the Asian Cup, while Rayan Ait-Nouri and Boubacar Traore are with Algeria and Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Craig Dawson is also not present in the squad, with Santiago Bueno starting against the Bees like he did during the 4-1 win in the corresponding Premier League fixture last week.

Matt Doherty is handed an opportunity at left wing-back, while Jean-Ricner Bellegarde gets the nod in the final third with Pedro Neto being kept in reserve.

Sasa Kalajdzic features on the substitutes' bench despite widespread reports that he will link up with Eintracht Frankfurt on loan after this game, and Yerson Mosquera is named in the squad after his successful loan stint with FC Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank has made four alterations to the team that recently started the 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.

Mark Flekken, Saman Ghoddos, Vitaly Janelt and Yoane Wissa are all absent, with some of them rested and others on international duty.

Second-choice goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is selected between the sticks, while Josh Dasilva, Mikkel Damsgaard and Neal Maupay are also named in the team.

Brentford: Strakosha; Zanka, Pinnock, Collins; Roerslev, Norgaard, Jensen, Dasilva, Lewis-Potter; Damsgaard, Maupay

Subs: Balcombe, Peart-Harris, Baptiste, Janelt, Yarmoliuk, Olakigbe, Brierley, Adedokun, Fredrick

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Sa; S. Bueno, Kilman, Toti; Semedo, Gomes, Doyle, Doherty; Sarabia, Cunha, Bellegarde

Subs: King, Neto, Mosquera, Kalajdzic, Hodge, Griffiths, Barnett, Keto-Diyawa, Chirewa
