Half-Time Report: Goalless between Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday

It is goalless in the Championship clash between Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park at the break.

Neither side have found a breakthrough in the first 45 minutes of the Championship clash between Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park.

The home side started the match well as they dominated possession, and Andre Gray thought he had given his team the lead in the 13th minute, only to see his strike disallowed for offside.

Wednesday came back into the game when Chris Maguire picked up the ball outside of the area, and he drilled an effort towards the top corner, but David Button was on hand to make a diving stop.

The visitors continued to threaten as Stevie May found space to fire a shot at goal, but Button was there to make the parried save, and on the rebound Jeremy Helan failed to hit the target from a tight angle.

May caused problems for the home side again as he collected a free kick from Maguire and cracked an effort at goal, which beat Button but clattered off the post and bounced clear.
