Brentford head coach Thomas Frank provides an injury update on Christian Norgaard ahead of Saturday's Premier League home meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has revealed that Christian Norgaard will be available for Saturday's Premier League home clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Bees have gone three games without a win despite scoring in the opening minute of each of those three matches.

Brentford fell to away defeats against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, before they had to settle for a 1-1 draw in last Saturday's home meeting with West Ham United.

They are are hoping to return to winning ways against a Wolves side that are winless in nine Premier League matches.

Frank provides Norgaard injury update

Brentford's hopes of claiming maximum points are set to be boosted by the return of their club captain Norgaard.

Frank has confirmed that Norgaard has recovered from an injury which forced him to miss the draw against West Ham last weekend.

"Norgaard is also available, which is a positive," Frank told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

"Everyone who knows me and knows his quality will also know that, if he is fit and available to start, he will probably start."

What about Brentford's other injury concerns?

Frank also gave an update on several of Brentford's current absentees, including Rico Henry, Mathias Jensen and Paris Maghoma.

The Brentford boss added: "Henry trained with the team today, so that's a positive, too. He has done a lot on the grass and a lot one-on-one; he's now back training with the team.

"Manchester United (on October 19) will probably be too soon, it will likely be a few weeks after that. I will know more after the international break."

"Jensen is in a better place, he's been running on the pitch this week, so that's another positive.

"Paris has done well and looks fit. He will have another game involvement on Monday and, when everyone is back, he will be fully firing and competing."

Frank also revealed that Yoane Wissa is "progressing well" from an ankle injury which is set to keep him out until November.

Forward Kevin Schade was forced off against West Ham, but it has been confirmed that he was struggling with cramp rather than an injury issue.
