Marinus Dijkhuizen: 'Brentford deserved to beat Leeds'

Boss Marinus Dijkhuizen says that Brentford should have beaten Leeds United in Saturday's Championship match.

Marinus Dijkhuizen has said that Brentford deserved to beat Leeds United.

The Bees took the lead after Marco Djuricin scored on his debut, but Mirco Antenucci equalised in the second half.

"Yeah, I'm very disappointed," Dijkhuizen told the club's official website.

"The players in the dressing room are the same, because we played very well, especially in the first 70 minutes. In the first half we were by far the better side on the pitch, we made a very good goal from Djuricin."

"We had a lot of chances to make 2-0 after the break again, with some dangerous set pieces. We had to kill the game, and it could have been 5-1 today but finally we get the draw."

Brentford have only won one match so far this season and sit in 18th in the Championship table.
