Brentford boss Mark Warburton upbeat despite Middlesbrough loss

Brentford boss Mark Warburton remains positive following his side's 1-0 defeat at home to Championship promotion rivals Middlesbrough.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton has refused to get downbeat following his side's defeat at home to Middlesbrough.

The Bees saw their hopes of promotion from the Championship suffer a setback on Saturday as they were beaten 1-0 at Griffin Park.

The decisive moment came at the end of the first half when Grant Leadbitter scored from the penalty spot for the visitors.

"The difference was the penalty," Warburton told BBC Sport. "We were the better team in the first half, we did everything but score. It didn't fall our way but overall it was a positive performance."

Brentford continue their league campaign next Saturday when they face Leeds United at Elland Road.
