Cardiff City came from behind to defeat Brentford 2-1 in their Championship clash at Griffin Park this afternoon.
The Bluebirds put a dent in the Bees' playoff hopes, despite ending the match with nine men.
The visitors threatened early on when Federico Macheda beat the challenge of Moses Odubajo before firing a vicious effort towards the top corner, which forced David Button into a good stop.
The Bees worked the ball well across the pitch to present a chance to Alex Pritchard from distance, but his strike flew past the post without testing Simon Moore.
Cardiff carved out an opening for Craig Noone as Macheda did well to tee him up just outside the box, but his effort went inches wide as Button scrambled across his line.
Brentford took the lead when Pritchard struck a powerful free kick from distance which Moore could only parry, and Andre Gray pounced on the rebound to fire into the back of the net.
In the second half, Gray almost got his second goal of the game when he turned his man inside the box, but was denied by a good reaction stop from Moore.
Cardiff were gifted a leveller following a horrendous error in the home defence as Harlee Dean and Button collided, which forced the ball from the grasp of the keeper, allowing Macheda to slot the ball home.
The Bluebirds completed the comeback in the 68th minute when Revell broke the offside trap and was through one-on-one with Button. The keeper raced off his line, but the striker showed his composure by lifting the ball over him into the net.
Mark Warburton's men were given hope when the visitors were reduced to 10 men when substitute Kadeem Harris was given a straight red card for a challenge on Alan Judge in the centre circle.
The Bees upped the ante late in the match, but were unable to find a breakthrough even when Russell Slade's men were reduced to nine men when Macheda was sent off in the dying minutes.
