Brentford midfielder Toumani Diagouraga has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with the Bees.
The 27-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of this season, but he will now stay with the Griffin Park outfit until the summer of 2017.
Last season he made just 10 league starts as Brentford were promoted from League One and was sent out on loan to Portsmouth in League Two.
However, he has won his place back in the team recently and last month started every game as the Bees won five in a row to soar into the top six of the Championship.
"Toumani is a player that has worked tirelessly to break in to the team," Brentford boss Mark Warburton told the club website.
"He faced the challenge of being able to deliver a more consistent level of performance.
"We were aware of his ability but Toumani himself knew that with the move to Championship football the demands on him would grow."
French-born Diagouraga has made almost 200 appearances since joining the club from Peterborough United four and a half years ago.
