Mark Warburton to hold talks with Adam Forshaw next week

Mark Warburton reveals that he has received two bids for midfielder Adam Forshaw which were "not remotely acceptable".

Brentford manager Mark Warburton has revealed that he will hold talks with Adam Forshaw next week with regards to the midfielder's future.

The 22-year-old was left out of the Bees squad for today's 1-1 draw against Charlton Athletic following intense speculation linking him with a move away from Griffin Park.

Speaking after the game, Warburton is quoted by Get West London as saying: "Adam has to get his head right and he'll come back and talk to us on Monday or Tuesday of next week and we'll see where that takes us.

"We have a valuation of the player. If I'm selling my house for £500,000 and a bid comes in for £250,000, I'm not going to sell my house.

"We aren't getting pressure from the owner [Matthew Benham]. If another club wants one of our players, pay the going rate. We had two bids for the player, neither of which were remotely acceptable."

Forshaw came through Everton's academy before making the move to West London in 2012.
