Sports Mole previews Sunday's Ligue 1 clash between Brest and Montpellier HSC, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

After beating Angers last weekend, Brest will look to clinch consecutive victories when they welcome Montpellier HSC to Stade Francis-Le Ble.

The visitors, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats after losing 5-2 to Paris Saint-Germain and 2-1 to Auxerre.

After beginning the season with a 3-2 defeat to Lens, Sunday's hosts started their home campaign with a difficult encounter against Marseille.

Although Nuno Tavares found the net in the first half, a 61st-minute strike from Pierre Lees-Melou helped Brest hold the Champions League side to a point.

Following a defeat and a draw, Brest completed the full set of results last weekend when they beat Angers 3-1 to collect their first win of the season.

Jeremy Le Douaron netted a brace before half time, while Achraf Dari extended Brest's advantage to three, and although Sofiane Boufal reduced the advantage, Michel Der Zakarian's side saw out the remainder of the contest to claim a comfortable victory.

Brest will now turn their attention to Sunday's contest where they will attempt to end a three-game winless home league run.

Meanwhile, Montpellier are looking to clinch their second win of the season after losing their previous two matches.

The season began with a 3-2 win over Troyes, with Montpellier taking the lead on three occasions to clinch a victory on the opening weekend of the season.

For their first away game of the season, Olivier Dall'Oglio's side travelled to the Parc des Princes to face French champions Paris Saint-Germain, but it proved to be a forgettable evening as they were swept aside via a 5-2 scoreline.

After facing the reigning champions, a home encounter against newly-promoted Auxerre offered a better chance of a positive result, but Montpellier fell to a 2-1 defeat despite taking the lead in a contest that saw three players sent off.

Having conceded nine goals in their opening three matches, Montpellier will be looking for an improved defensive performance on Sunday.

Brest are without Noah Fadiga and Steve Mounie, who are sidelined with ankle and heel injuries respectively, while a hamstring problem will prevent from Romain Del Castillo featuring.

After beating Angers 3-1, the hosts are expected to keep changes to a minimum, although Franck Honorat could replace Mathias Pereira Lage in the starting lineup.

Le Douaron opened his account for the season with a brace last weekend, and the forward will be looking to score in consecutive matches when he leads the line on Sunday.

As for the visitors, they are expected to be without Pedro Mendes, while Stephy Mavididi and Sacha Delaye are doubts.

After the pair were sent off last weekend, Khalil Fayad and Teji Savanier will miss Sunday's encounter through suspension.

The suspended duo could be replaced by Joris Chotard and Leo Leroy, while Elye Wahi is expected to continue to lead the line.

Brest possible starting lineup:
Bizot; Duverne, Dari, Chardonnet, Brassier; Magnetti, Belkebla, Lees-Melou; Honorat, Belaili, Le Douaraon

Montpellier HSC possible starting lineup:
Omlin; Sacko, Cozza, Sakho, Sainte-Luce; Nordin, Ferri, Chotard, Leroy, Khazri; Wahi

We say: Brest 1-1 Montpellier HSC

Although Montpellier have lost their last two matches, we think that they will have enough quality to take a point from Sunday's away encounter against Brest.
