Leonardo Ulloa and David Lopez strike late in the opening period to give Brighton & Hove Albion a 2-0 lead over Championship rivals Crystal Palace.

Brighton & Hove Albion have a two-goal lead at the midway point of today's Championship clash against rivals Crystal Palace.

Leonardo Ulloa's seventh goal in 11 English games put the Seagulls in front on 43 minutes, before a superb David Lopez free kick doubled the hosts' advantage in stoppage time.

Ulloa headed home from close range after a brilliant jinking run and cross from the right by William Buckley.

Buckley was at the centre of the action again moments later, as the former Watford winger was chopped down just outside the penalty area by Kagisho Dikgacoi.

Dikgacoi was issued with a yellow card, but he was then punished further as Lopez curled the resultant dead ball into the back of the net via the underside of the crossbar.
